  18. Subject: ESQ-1/GUS Smoke

  20. I'm hooking an Ensoniq ESQ-1 keyboard to my GUS card using a Galaxy Midi 
  21. Adapter Cable.  All is O.K. if I only hook up the ESQ-1's MIDI Out port.  
  22. If I hook up both the MIDI Out and MIDI In ports, I shortly aftwards 
  23. smell something hot, and the ESQ-1 goes nuts.  Obviously a short or 
  24. ground loop or something.  Any ideas?
